He was born in Seoul in 1993 between Wol Young Kim (a.k.a.Jiichiro Tamaya¹)and Hyoun Mi Shin.
He moved to Japan when he was 9 (2003) and attended an international school in Suma, Kobe.
He moved to New York to attend an all-boys boarding school in 2007.
He went to Michigan State University² for a year, double- majoring in International Relations and Studio Art.
He then transferred to Waseda University in 2012.
He studied contemporary literature and creative writing there, graduating in 2016.
